Gavin Newsom and Karen Bass to California: ‘See what you pushed us to do.’

Gavin Newsom and Karen Bass to California: 'See what you pushed us to do.'

You’ve likely seen the chaos unfolding in Los Angeles this past week. Protestors, a mix of angry immigrants—primarily from Mexico—and some left-wing activists have been causing havoc. They’ve blocked highways, overwhelmed police barricades, set off fireworks, and even burned vehicles.

It’s striking when you see someone waving a Mexican flag while targeting police with fireworks. What brings about such anger? Well, many are upset over strict laws regarding illegal immigration. And their protests go beyond just expressing frustration; they’re specifically aiming at immigration and customs officers whose job is to enforce these laws.

There’s a disturbing trend here with people sharing personal information about officers online, which seems to imply a desire to harm them. Take the case of the person, Jack Quilin, who posted the location of an ICE raid online. Those involved often feign remorse, hoping for lighter consequences, but if they think their rhetoric doesn’t incite violence against law enforcement, they’re mistaken.

What’s Going On?

What truly captivated me was the response from officials in California. Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass insists there’s no violence necessitating police action. Meanwhile, Representative Maxine Waters echoes that sentiment, downplaying any lawlessness. And then there’s Governor Gavin Newsom, claiming that violence arises when the president sends in the National Guard.

This all feels eerily familiar to me. Growing up in a household where emotional turmoil ruled, I recognize similar behaviors in figures like Newsom and Waters. My mother, with her own struggles, often displayed this sort of denial.

The Underlying Issues

My mother’s behavior was heavily influenced by her challenges, including what is known as Cluster B personality disorder, often characterized by narcissism and intense emotional responses. I’ve often discussed this on my commentary show, highlighting how personal and familial dysfunction can bleed into broader societal issues.

Many leftist politicians, in my observation, exhibit traits akin to those seen in narcissistic personalities. Yes, I think it’s fair to say that some of these leaders might, in a clinical sense, fit certain psychiatric profiles.

Manipulative Tactics

In the face of chaos, the narrative often shifts in a bizarre way. Those causing strife assert that it’s the “system” that makes them violent. You’d be foolish to think your eyes deceive you when witnessing this. The reality is manipulated, creating a very distorted perspective.

This tactic, often referred to as “gaslighting,” is prevalent. People twist the narrative around until they position themselves as victims while portraying anyone who questions them as being irrational. It’s not just a left-wing tactic—it’s merely a method of distortion.

Echoes from Home

If you’ve seen “Mommie Dearest,” you might grasp my upbringing better. We weren’t affluent or renowned, but the emotional turbulence was strikingly similar. The way Joan Crawford screams at her daughter mirrors the experiences I had growing up.

Recalling one scene where she lashes out at her daughter for minor infractions, I can understand where my mother’s frustrations were placed on me—an unfortunate projection of her struggles.

The Cycle Continues

In each instance, instead of taking responsibility, they blame the innocent—the very essence of narcissistic behavior. This can often feel exhausting. Newsom’s words reflect this kind of reversal: blaming Donald Trump for the violence while ignoring the chaos caused under his watch.

It’s a twisted form of accountability—or lack thereof. When they claim others are at fault for their actions, it parallels how my mother behaved towards me. Religious texts even touch on this manipulation, exemplifying how wrong can be seen as right.

Defining Moments

These familiar defenses highlight a disturbing reality; it feels as if political responses are merely extensions of unhealthy psychological patterns played out on a public stage. If you’ve sensed this disquieting anomaly within leftist politics, you’re not wrong. Perhaps this reflection can help provide clarity on what’s really “off” in today’s landscape.
