Family’s Disneyland Breakfast Shocks with $1,000 Bill

A family’s breakfast at Disneyland, California, gained attention after the father posted photos on social media, revealing a staggering $1,000 receipt for their meal.

John “Rock’n’ Roll” Tolkien, known as @jrockandrollt on social media, expressed his surprise on Monday, describing the $937.65 bill from the Disney Princess Breakfast Adventure.

The extravagant meal included two children and three adults, along with a $150 tip, which constituted more than 20% of the original total.

“A ‘Princess Breakfast’ at Disneyland with my kids,” he shared on X. “I almost spit out my coffee.”

This post has gone viral, receiving 16.5 million views and countless comments in just a few days. One user humorously asked, “Please tell me you have 35 children,” while another remarked, “That’s ridiculous. I went to Italy for a month for literally the same amount.”

Located at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel and Spa, the Disney Princess Breakfast Adventure features a three-course breakfast priced at $142 for both adults and children.

During the experience, guests can interact with Disney Princesses and engage in various themed activities, as noted on the Disneyland website.

The meal starts with a three-tier tower of appetizers, including lobster rolls, beignets, and cornbread. For the main course, kids can enjoy waffles and macaroni and cheese while adults have options like scrambled eggs, short ribs, and more.

Desserts include items such as cake pops, cream puffs, and sorbets, according to Disneyland’s description.

The father had anticipated a much lower check before it arrived but acknowledged the food’s quality during the breakfast adventure. “The service was attentive and enthusiastic, and the princesses were all trained professional actresses who spent a lot of time with the kids,” he noted. “I had fun.”

This year marks the 70th anniversary of Disneyland Park in Anaheim, California.

The company recently revealed details about its significant economic impact in the United States, estimating about $67 billion in annual expenditures connected to Disney Parks.

Disney has not yet responded to requests for comment from various media outlets.
