The blossoming friendship among Caitlyn Clark, Lexie Hull, and Sophie Cunningham has captured the hearts of WNBA fans.
When the Fever guard entered the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, she sported a shirt that read “Tres Leches,” featuring a playful illustration of Clark, Hull, and Cunningham dressed in their Fever uniforms.
This nickname, “Tres Leches,” has become something of a fan favorite, and it’s clear the players are fond of it as well.
Cunningham’s shirt made a splash on social media as fans reacted enthusiastically.
One user on social media remarked, “Sophie in the Shirt! How to Reclaim Your Teammates.”
Another chimed in with, “Tres Leches Lezgo.”
“I need that shirt!” exclaimed a third commenter.
The shirt is available through Dave Portnoy, a well-known Fever enthusiast and supporter of Clark.
Cunningham joined the Fever lineup following a trade from the Mercury and has quickly become a fan favorite.
During a recent game, a hard foul was called on Jacy Sheldon, leading to some tension with the referees, which Cunningham later addressed.
“I’m not focusing on extracurricular activities,” Cunningham remarked. “That was just part of the game, I think it had a lot to do with everything.”
Ultimately, the Fever fell to their opponents with a score of 89-81, and Cunningham did not score in 17 minutes of play.
