Tragic Lightning Strike Claims Life of Texas Father

Three fathers in Texas tragically lost their lives when lightning struck during a golf outing on Sunday.

Spencer Roalbo was enjoying a round of golf in Gunter, Texas, when disaster struck. This incident occurred on June 8th, about four hours before a severe storm swept into the region, as a solitary storm cloud drifted over the course.

As lightning coursed through the area, it struck Roalbo, resulting in his death. His wife, Kaylee Roalbo, expressed her deep shock, saying it felt like the lightning came “out of nowhere.”

Meanwhile, Spencer’s father was also caught in the storm and is now receiving treatment at Baylor Scott & White Medical Center in McKinney, Texas.

Kaylee shared how much the children loved their father. “He would do anything for them,” she recalled, emphasizing the joyful moments they shared, such as going on individual dates or the time the kids playfully covered his face with applesauce.

Even amid her grief, Kaylee said she is leaning on her faith for support. “We still trust him and know we have one another, and that God loves us and will never leave,” she noted.

Friends and family have set up a GoFundMe campaign that describes Spencer as a devoted Christian, a loving husband, an enthusiastic father, and a selfless friend who always prioritized those around him.

His life was not just a personal journey; it was reflected in the way he uplifted others, always choosing family and friends first.
