Trump Announces Ceasefire Between Israel and Iran
Donald Trump has declared a ceasefire agreement between Israel and Iran. In a message, he stated, “There is a complete agreement between Israel and Iran, and there is a total ceasefire. This will take place over the next 12 hours.” He then emphasized, “When Israel and Iran proceed with their final mission, the conflict will officially come to an end.”
In his announcement on social media, Trump expressed congratulations to both nations. He noted that the ceasefire would be in effect for 12 hours and that during this time, both sides are expected to maintain peace and respect. He highlighted the toll the ongoing conflict had taken on the region, stating it had lasted for years but was now over. Trump concluded with blessings for Israel, Iran, the Middle East, the United States, and the world.

In a discussion on Fox News, JD Vance commented on the agreement, stating, “Iran cannot build nuclear weapons with the equipment they have because we destroyed it.” He praised Trump for successfully getting the deal completed.
During the interview, which coincided with Trump’s announcement, Vance mentioned that they were working on the agreement up until leaving the White House. He also noted that he saw a draft of Trump’s post just moments before they went on air, indicating there were some changes from an earlier version.
