Netanyahu Addresses Trump’s Statements on Ceasefire

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu reacted to U.S. President Donald Trump’s comments on Tuesday, outlining a timeline of events leading up to a ceasefire and responding shortly after.

Netanyahu acknowledged Trump’s request for Israel to temper its response to Iran’s ceasefire breach. However, he felt it was important to clarify who actually broke the ceasefire.

Trump has alleged that both Israel and Iran violated the ceasefire, expressing particular frustration with Israeli actions.

The Prime Minister’s office issued a timeline regarding the incidents surrounding the ceasefire.

The ceasefire was scheduled for 7:00 AM. By 3:00 AM, Israel had to conduct an operation in Tehran, targeting the regime and resulting in numerous casualties among Basijs and Iranian security personnel.

Prior to the ceasefire taking effect, Iran fired a series of missiles. The ceasefire became effective at 07:00.

At 07:06, Iran launched a missile toward Israeli territory, followed by two more at 10:25. Fortunately, these missiles were either intercepted or landed in unoccupied areas, causing no harm.

As a response to these violations, the Israeli Air Force targeted radar installations near Tehran.

Following discussions between President Trump and Netanyahu, Israel has refrained from further military actions.

During their discussion, Trump expressed gratitude toward Israel, commending it for achieving its wartime objectives and his confidence in the current stability of the ceasefire.

On Monday, Trump opted not to retaliate against Iran for its attacks on U.S. military bases, seemingly hoping Israel would follow suit.

However, as Israeli civilian casualties rise, similar to the previous situation in Lebanon, Netanyahu faces the challenge of responding to Iran’s breaches while adhering to the agreements intended to halt hostilities on schedule.
