Man Found Dead in Los Angeles Jail After Indictment
A man who was indicted earlier this month in connection with a deadly car bombing outside a fertility clinic in California has been found dead. Daniel Park, 32, was discovered unresponsive at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Los Angeles early Tuesday morning.
The incident occurred around 7:30 a.m. on June 24, 2025, when staff at the facility noticed Park was not responsive. Following established protocols, they initiated life-saving measures and contacted emergency medical services. Park was then transported to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
The Federal Bureau of Investigation has been notified, along with the former U.S. Secret Service. Authorities have confirmed that other inmates and staff members were unharmed, ensuring that the public remains safe.
Park was reportedly linked to bomb-related activities involving the May 17 attack outside the American Reproductive Center in Palm Springs. This bombing, which killed a 25-year-old suspect and injured four others, led to charges against Park for allegedly providing materials and support for terrorism. He has been held since June 13 on charges of malicious destruction of property.
Specifically, authorities claim that Park assisted the bomber, providing chemicals and explosives, and even conducted experiments in the suspect’s garage in 29 Palms. Court documents have also indicated that he allegedly used an AI chatbot to research building explosive devices shortly before the attack.
Interestingly, Park was apprehended at JFK Airport in New York earlier this month after being deported from Poland, where he had traveled shortly after the bombing.
The FBI has classified the bombing as an act of domestic terrorism, linking it to a group that reportedly believes human reproduction is morally wrong. Prosecutors suggest that the attack aimed to destroy stored human embryos at the clinic.
The motive behind such actions is baffling—it raises serious questions about the individual’s mindset. Attorney General Pam Bondy described the bombing as a “particularly cruel and disgusting crime” that strikes at a core aspect of humanity.
While the cause of Park’s death remains unannounced, the incident is currently under investigation.
