Trump Shares Tribute Song After Ceasefire Announcement
President Donald Trump shared a song titled “Fighter” by John Kern on True Social following a ceasefire agreement that ended a 12-day conflict between Israel and Iran. This song, released by Kern as a tribute to Trump, came just a day after the ceasefire announcement.
Kern, a singer-songwriter, had originally dedicated the song to Trump after an assassination attempt in Pennsylvania back in September 2024. In the emotional music video for “Fighter,” released last year, Kern mentioned that it was made for Trump and “everyone who fights with him.”
Upon its release, “Fighter” quickly climbed to the top of iTunes charts, remaining at number one for six days and achieving over 10 million views on social media. By the following month, it hit number one on the Billboard Digital Sales Chart, making Kern Billboard’s top emerging artist.
Throughout the 2024 campaign, the song was often played at Trump rallies, notably during Trump’s return rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, a location shaded by the earlier assassination attempt there.
Previously, Trump also acknowledged Kern’s song in a True Social post, expressing gratitude for the unexpected honor.
In a quick recap of the song’s themes, lines highlight resilience and the spirit of fighting back against adversity, emphasizing a determination to keep going despite challenges.
