Famous Online Personality 'Ninja' Starts Going to Church, Claims His Faith Is Transforming His Life

Ninja Shares Spiritual Journey with Followers

Tyler Blevins, widely known as “Ninja,” spoke recently to his 19 million Twitch followers about his spiritual growth, revealing that he and his wife attend church every week. While playing “Fortnite,” he discussed his journey and how it has shaped his life. One comment from a viewer praised him, saying, “Ninja giving life to God is the biggest streamer glow-up ever. Congratulations, brother, welcome.”

“Thank you,” he responded. “It’s a bit difficult to think about my time when I wasn’t—do you know what I mean?”

Ninja’s Commitment to Spiritual Growth

Blevins disclosed that he and Jessica, his wife, regularly attend church together. “We’re going to church every Sunday,” he explained. “Jess and I are going through this journey. Jesus.” He emphasized his desire to improve himself, stating, “We’re not just talking; we’re going for a walk.”

“I’m just trying to be a better person,” he added.

Previously, Blevins has expressed similar sentiments, even streaming with “Jesus is King” as a theme.

“Even if you don’t think about it, don’t judge me, and I won’t judge you for it,” he said at that time. “We respect all religions, all people.”

Reflections on Anger

Last week, he reflected on his past behavior, particularly his anger during gaming. “I find myself hypocritical much of the time, and I don’t like it about myself,” he admitted. “I don’t regret everything I did, but I can’t continue to improve without acknowledging what I did wrong.”

“I don’t want to go back and roast people. The point I’m trying to make is… it’s much easier to engage in negativity, but I just don’t want to do that anymore.”

Taking Breaks for Mental Clarity

Blevins acknowledged the emotional toll of the gaming community, noting that it could affect his day. “I started the day feeling great, and then people would just get to me,” he said. He recognized that he’s still a work in progress, stating, “I might still lose my cool sometimes, but I’m working on it.”

“I take breaks frequently,” he mentioned, adding that spending time with loved ones helps reset his mindset.

Prioritizing Marriage and Family

Blevins has always valued his faith and personal values. In a 2018 interview, he explained why he avoids one-on-one gaming with women, citing the potential risks to his marriage with Jessica, whom he married in 2017.

“This is my spouse,” he said. “I’m protecting my relationship.”

He also expressed gratitude to his mother for her unwavering support during tough times, emphasizing, “God has a plan.”

“We don’t need an end-of-age threat to become better people and build relationships with the Lord,” Blevins said earlier this year.

He noted that prayer has had a positive impact on his mindset. “Since I started praying every night, I’ve been a better person, with a better mindset, I can say with confidence,” he concluded.

Similarly, podcaster Joe Rogan has also opened up about faith this year, mentioning his church attendance earlier this month.

“It’s a good atmosphere,” he remarked on a recent episode.
