50 Cent Proposes More Than $258,000 For NYC Mayoral Hopeful Zohran Mamdani To Depart The State

50 Cent Offers Cash to Leave Mayoral Candidate Alone

Rapper 50 Cent has proposed a payment of $258,750 to convince mayoral candidate Zohran Mamdani to exit the state.

Mamdani recently triumphed over former New York Governor Andrew Cuomo in a surprising Democratic mayoral primary. During his June 11 appearance on “The Breakfast Club,” he mentioned the rapper, which prompted 50 Cent’s eyebrow-raising offer on Instagram. The rapper expressed his confusion about Mamdani’s rise in politics, seemingly unimpressed with the candidate’s plans.

“Who is this guy? Is he a friend? I don’t really get this,” the rapper commented.

He added, “I’ll give him $258,750 and a first-class one-way ticket away from New York. And I’m definitely telling Trump what he said!”

At 49 years old, 50 Cent made clear that he disagrees with Mamdani’s proposal to tax wealthy New Yorkers more heavily.

During the interview, Mamdani defended his tax agenda. He aimed to increase the corporate tax rate in New York to align it with New Jersey’s, suggesting that this would primarily impact businesses making substantial profits.

“The focus is on the top 1% of earners who generate over $1 million annually, and we’re talking about a straightforward 2% tax increase here,” he explained.

Mamdani even called out the rapper directly, acknowledging his likely discontent with the tax policy. “I imagine 50 Cent isn’t thrilled with this discussion, but I must clarify—these taxes are around $20,000 a year,” he stated.

“In the grand scheme, this is minor, yet pulling all these resources together helps improve life for every New Yorker, including those who will face the tax.”

Moreover, Mamdani expressed intentions to fund public transit enhancements and support services for small businesses, striving to make the city a different entity than it was under Trump.
