In a surprising twist during the New York City Democratic mayoral primary, it’s reported that Andrew Cuomo might be heading off for a weekend escape with a mystery woman.
According to a source who spoke to Page 6, the identity of this woman remains unknown, and Cuomo’s representatives haven’t provided any comments.
Last year, he was spotted at a restaurant in Westport, Connecticut, dining with a “tall blonde,” who was described as a girlfriend at the time.
Interestingly, a year ago, Cuomo was seen with another “blonde mysterious woman” while hanging out with friends in Chelsea until late at night.
At 67 years old, Cuomo experienced a long-term relationship with Food Network personality Sandra Lee, but they ended their relationship in 2019.
Despite this weekend getaway, he’s reported to be staying engaged in the mayoral race, possibly continuing his campaign and participating in the general election. However, whether he will officially launch his campaign is still uncertain.
Tuesday brought news of a significant upset as dark horse candidate Zohran Mamdani, a democratic socialist who has represented part of Queens in the state legislature for four years, took the lead, surprising many by knocking Cuomo off his political pedestal.
Cuomo, initially seen as the frontrunner back in March, saw his support diminish as Mamdani effectively utilized social media to engage voters.
Cuomo seemed taken aback by the results, losing a 40-point polling lead even after boosting his campaign with over $25 million from various sources.
Perhaps a little time away is just what he needs right now.
