Analysts focusing on the Crypto Exchange-Traded Fund (ETF) sector have raised the chances of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission approving Solana, Litecoin, and XRP ETFs to 95% this year.
On Monday, Bloomberg ETF experts Eric Balknath and James Seyfert revised the approval probabilities for several Altcoin Spot Exchange-Traded Funds, mentioning a promising outlook.
“We’re excited about the potential new wave of ETFs expected in the latter half of 2025,” Seyfert noted.
They adjusted the approval likelihood for Solana (SOL), XRP (XRP), and Litecoin (LTC) Spot ETFs from 90% to the higher figure of 95%.
Additionally, they assigned the same approval odds to ETFs that track a collection or index of crypto assets.
As per the analysts, the SEC’s deadline for decisions on the three Altcoin ETFs is set for October, with the Crypto Basket ETF anticipated to receive approval this week.
More Altcoin ETFs Coming
Other Altcoin Spot ETFs also have a significant approval likelihood of around 90%, including Dogecoin (Doge), Cardano (ADA), Polkadot (DOT), Hedera (HBAR), and Avalanche (Avax).

However, ETFs filed by Canary Capital for SUI (SUI) and Tron (TRX) have lower odds of approval, standing at 60% and 50%, respectively.
Back in June, Balknath expressed, “Get ready for a summer full of potential altcoin ETFs,” while Seyfert suggested that ETFs linked to various crypto indexes could see SEC approval as soon as next month.
Launch of Solana Staking ETF
Bloomberg also mentioned on Monday that the Rex Osprey Solana Staking ETF is set to launch officially on Wednesday. It marks the first such ETF in the U.S. that allows for crypto staking.
This product initially faced regulatory challenges from the SEC, which had concerns about whether it met the criteria to be classified as an investment company under securities laws.
To secure approval, the issuer agreed to invest at least 40% of its assets in other exchange-traded products (ETPs).
SEC Delays Decisions
Meanwhile, the SEC has yet to approve Ethereum staking and recently postponed a decision regarding whether Bitwise spot ether ETFs can include staking.
Regulators have also delayed approving stock listings and transactions for the Osprey Bitcoin Trust.
