Trump Urges House Republicans to Support Senate Bill
On Tuesday, President Donald Trump called on House Republicans to rally behind the substantial bill recently passed by the Senate.
In his appeals, Trump emphasized the need for unity, arguing that this legislation transcends party lines and belongs to all Americans.
“Almost every major Republican in the Senate supported our ‘one, big, beautiful bill.’ It’s no longer just a ‘House Bill’ or a ‘Senate Bill.’ It’s everyone’s bill. There’s a lot to be proud of here. This is about winning for Americans—lowering taxes, increasing wages, reinforcing our borders, and bolstering our military. Plus, benefits like Medicaid, Medicare, and Social Security are not only preserved but strengthened against potential threats from destructive forces by cutting waste and fraud in these programs.”
Trump noted that the House of Representatives must play its part in passing the Senate’s bill:
“We can achieve all of this now, but it’s crucial for the House Republicans to come together, despite some naysayers, and send this bill to my desk. We need to get this done before you celebrate the Fourth of July. This is what Americans want and deserve.”
He further discussed the bill’s potential economic impact, referencing significant stock market gains as it progressed through Congress.
“Our country is on the verge of unprecedented growth—the kind we’ve seen since I was re-elected. This bill, along with tariffs and more, is designed to position the U.S. for financial success and drastically reduce our federal deficit, heading toward a prosperous new era for America.”
In closing, Trump reiterated his call for solidarity among House Republicans.
“To my GOP friends in the House: come together, have fun, and vote ‘Yay.’ God bless you all!” he stated.
Following Trump’s message, senior White House officials echoed his sentiments when asked by Breitbart News about their communication to Republicans. They said, “There’s nothing more to add to the president’s extraordinary message. It’s time for Republicans to unify and pass the agenda.”
“Everyone has something to celebrate, from the protection measures for rural hospitals to significant spending cuts addressing more than $1.5 trillion in commitments and reform against Medicaid misuse. We’ve reached the end of the road—the bill needs to be sent to the president’s desk, and it must happen before July 4th.”
