Melania Trump Visits Children’s Hospital in D.C.

On Thursday, First Lady Melania Trump made a visit to the Children’s Hospital in Washington, D.C., where she engaged with young patients and helped decorate the garden for the upcoming Independence Day festivities.

Mrs. Trump brought along a collection of stuffed animals, including teddy bears, as well as a children’s book and a cozy blanket.

During her visit, she took time to sit down with several children, discussing their favorite sports, foods, and hobbies. It was a heartwarming interaction. When one child inquired if she enjoyed golf like her husband, she joked, saying, “No, I don’t play golf,” but acknowledged that she had played games with Donald before.

Following her time with the children, Mrs. Trump moved to the Bunny Melon Healing Garden, a space she initiated in 2017. There, she contributed to the patriotic decorations in preparation for the Independence Day celebrations by planting vibrant red, white, and blue windmills along with small American flags.

Additionally, she introduced a new hybrid rose called “External Flame,” which is known for its lovely fragrance and yellow hue.

As part of her visit, each child received a gift bag that included a blanket and a teddy bear adorned with the slogan “Be Best,” reflecting her campaign focused on promoting children’s well-being.

Mrs. Trump also visited the hospital’s heart and kidney unit, where she met a 3-year-old patient, further emphasizing her commitment to supporting the kids at the hospital. The Children’s Hospital is a place she frequently visits, particularly during the holiday season.

Later that day, she was expected to join President Donald Trump in the Oval Office.
