Introducing Mr. and Mrs. Watson
Browns quarterback Deshaun Watson tied the knot with his long-time girlfriend, model Gilly Anais, in Miami on July 3rd. The couple gleamed with joy, sporting a diamond wedding band and Watson in a stylish custom white shirt.
Anais, who is a finalist for the 2025 Sports Illustrated Swim Search as well as a music artist and author known for her cookbook, donned a stunning white dress featuring intricate lace flowers and mesh details.
Just before their wedding, Swimsuit with Sports Illustrated revealed details about their upcoming nuptials.
After their Miami wedding, they showcased their wedding rings, proudly displaying Anais’s impressive $2.5 million engagement ring. Notably, they opted for a more intimate approach by having their brothers serve as best man and man of honor instead of a traditional wedding party.
Anais had a relaxed experience during the wedding planning, working with a planner and expressing that her father would accompany her down the aisle. “I’m the farthest from Bridezilla,” she remarked. “My fiancé handled all the honeymoon arrangements.” The excitement was palpable as she mentioned feeling like she was “still on Cloud 9.”
The couple has been together for five years, celebrating their anniversary last July, and they made their engagement public through a joint post on Instagram in March. Anais stood by Watson during his time of controversy involving allegations of sexual misconduct from multiple massage therapists since March 2021. He missed the 2021 season after requesting a trade from Houston.
Watson sits out the first 11 games of the 2022 season before making his return after signing a fully guaranteed five-year, $230 million contract with Cleveland that March.
Recently, the Browns indicated that Watson’s second surgery for a re-ruptured Achilles would likely keep him sidelined for a significant part of the 2025 season. He originally faced an Achilles tear that caused him to miss the seventh week of the 2024 season.
In response to their quarterback situation, Cleveland traded for Kenny Pickett in March and also brought on veteran Joe Flacco. They selected Dilon Gabriel and Shadale Sanders during the third and fifth rounds of the 2025 NFL Draft.
Looking ahead, the Browns are set to kick off their 2025 season against the Cincinnati Bengals on September 7th.
