Mamdani's father involved with an anti-Israel group that supports suicide bombers

Zohran Mamdani, a socialist candidate for mayor in New York, has a father who’s part of an advisory board for organizations that frequently criticize Israel, even labeling it as committing “genocide” while showing sympathy for suicide bombers.

Mahmood Mamdani, who is 79 years old, is among 29 members on the advisory board for the Gaza Court of Advisory Policy Council based in London.

This group was established last year, aiming to “awaken civil society to its responsibility and opportunity to stop the Israeli massacre in Gaza.”

Interestingly, they back many of the same anti-Israel initiatives supported by local Queens councilors and other mayoral candidates, like the BDS movement.

The news regarding Elder Mamdani, who holds a position at Columbia University focusing on African history and colonialism, first surfaced on a Saturday through media outlets.

He made headlines on social media recently by sharing quotes from a book where he seemed to justify the logic behind suicide bombings.

In his book, “Good Muslims, Bad Muslims: America, the Cold War, and Roots of Terror,” published in 2004, he stated, “Suicide bombings need to be understood as a feature of modern political violence, not as a mark of wild bars.”

There’s something quite concerning in his assertion: “We need to recognize suicide bombings as a category of soldiers first and foremost,” he elaborated.

Tweets from prominent figures, including hedge fund billionaire Bill Ackman, reflect a disbelief with comments like, “Apple @zohrankmamdani is not far from the trees.”

As of now, Mahmood Mamdani hasn’t provided any public comments on the topic.
