Who is the Fifth Best NFL QB?
Keyshawn Johnson and TJ Houshmandzadeh have recently weighed in on the top quarterbacks in the NFL. They placed the fifth-best quarterback behind Patrick Mahomes, Josh Allen, Joe Burrow, and Lamar Jackson.
On a related note, the fathers of NFL players Amon-Ra and Equanimeous St. Brown gained attention recently as discussions around athletes surfaced. Former bodybuilder John Brown joined his son’s podcast last year and shared his thoughts on how people reacted when they learned he helped his sons reach the NFL, while also highlighting their success in college football.
Amon-Ra asked his dad what the most common questions were regarding their family’s athletic achievements—especially since three kids made it to Division 1 and two got into the NFL. John reflected on his belief in “breeding,” a somewhat controversial idea that stirred conversations online. He mentioned, “Look at you – a good athlete,” as he addressed his son, bringing up the blended background of himself and Amon-Ra’s mother. There was a bit of hesitation in his words, suggesting that he felt strongly about maintaining certain “athletic traits.” He said, “You can’t keep cutting it or you weaken it… you have to think about being athletic.”
Although John’s remarks were about 11 months old, they still struck a chord, drawing responses from others such as former Notre Dame quarterback Malik Zaire and Houston Texans linebacker EJ Speed. It’s interesting how comments from the past can resurface and fuel discussions, isn’t it?
Amon-Ra, who is currently excelling as a wide receiver for the Detroit Lions, had an impressive record last season with 115 catches, 12 touchdowns, and 1,263 yards. His brother, Equanimeous, played last season with the New Orleans Saints, though his appearances were limited to just two games.
