Report on Biden’s Preemptive Pardons
A recent report has surfaced, indicating that on his last day in office, Joe Biden’s Chief of Staff approved several preemptive pardons.
However, in an interview with the New York Times, Biden insisted that he was the one who made all the decisions about these pardons, suggesting that the autopen was only used for a mass pardon.
During the final week of his presidency, Biden granted pardons to over 1,500 individuals. He defended these actions by stating that former President Trump was “vindictive” and had targeted countless members of his administration unjustly.
“They’re liars. They know that. They certainly know,” Biden remarked, criticizing those who challenged his decisions.
Despite Biden’s claims of final authority over these pardons, the report revealed that Chief of Staff Jeff Zaens had the final say on the approvals. This included not just high-profile individuals like Dr. Anthony Fauci and General Mark Milley, but also guidelines for determining which prisoners would receive reductions in sentences.
The report added that Biden held meetings with his aides late into his final night, discussing the particulars of these pardons.
After those discussions, Zaens’ assistant sought email approval to proceed with the amnesty, as detailed by the report.
In the meantime, Trump raised doubts about whether Biden truly recognized all the names listed in the pardons. He described the use of the autopen as potentially one of the biggest scandals in decades.
“I assure you that he didn’t know anything about what he was signing,” Trump stated emphatically.
White House spokesperson Harrison Fields echoed Trump’s sentiments, suggesting that anyone who misled the public for years shouldn’t be trusted again.
“The Biden administration has implemented the worst cover-up scheme in American politics… the truth about who is truly in charge will eventually come out,” Fields commented.
Additionally, Biden pardoned his son, Hunter Biden, who had previously faced multiple felony convictions relating to illegal firearm purchases and tax charges.
Trump also called upon General Pam Bondi to investigate the use of the autopen during the previous administration.
“It’s become increasingly evident that Biden’s aides utilized autopens to obscure his cognitive issues and improperly exercised presidential authority using an autopen,” Trump remarked.
“This conspiracy represents one of the most alarming scandals in American history, with the public intentionally kept in the dark,” he added.
