A man who was once in solitary confinement in the same prison as Jeffrey Epstein claims that Epstein, who died in 2019, did not commit suicide as reported. He insists, “There’s no way you can commit suicide. There’s no means to hang yourself.” This statement came during a Monday night appearance on News Nation’s “Banfield.”
The Department of Justice (DOJ) and FBI had earlier released an unsigned memo stating that Epstein died by suicide while awaiting sex trafficking charges, and they indicated that he did not keep a significant “client list.”
“After a comprehensive investigation, FBI agents concluded that Jeffrey Epstein committed suicide in his cell at the Metropolitan Correctional Center in New York City on August 10, 2019. This aligns with previous findings,” the DOJ and FBI noted in a brief memo. They also made available nearly 11 hours of footage from outside Epstein’s prison during his final moments.
The DOJ inspector clarified in 2023 that any attempts to enter or leave the special housing unit (SHU) would have been captured on video. An independent review by the FBI revealed that Epstein was confined to his cell from August 9, 2019, between 10:40 PM and 6:30 AM.
Interestingly, the FBI’s “RAW” prison footage may have been altered, potentially pieced together from two or more clips. An analysis of the video’s metadata by independent video forensics experts was reported recently.
The man commented on his extensive prison experience, saying, “I’ve spent eight years inside, and cameras don’t just break in a storm of guards who aren’t present. They are always watching.” A New York City medical examiner had concluded that Epstein’s death was a suicide.
This DOJ memo has sparked outrage among some MAGA supporters, primarily directed at Attorney General Pam Bondi, who had recently promised greater transparency concerning the case.
President Trump has backed Bondi, stating she’s doing a “great job” and urging supporters to shift their focus to other issues.
Alan Dershowitz, a former lawyer for Epstein, mentioned that two New York judges have been withholding information rather than the Trump administration. “I’m not sure what else they could disclose beyond what’s already known,” he said, emphasizing the need to place responsibility appropriately.
Dershowitz also dismissed the notion that Epstein was murdered, asserting that the circumstances of his death did not suggest he could have taken his own life without assistance. “I believe guards may play a role here, along with the turned-off cameras,” he commented. “While there may be some undisclosed factors, I don’t see clear failings on this administration’s part.”
