Small Plane Crash in Florida Captured on Home Security Video
A small plane crash in Florida was dramatically recorded by a home security camera. This incident occurred near North Perry Airport in Pembroke Pines, where footage showed a Cessna colliding with a tree in a residential neighborhood before local residents sprang into action to assist those onboard.
Witness Eddie Crispin shared his experience, saying, “You could hear the decay, and then it just hit the tree. When it hit the tree, it confirmed that the plane hit the tree and then hit the ground.” He described how a neighbor immediately grabbed a fire extinguisher to fight the flames while another attempted to break a window to help the passengers inside.
The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) is looking into the crash and stated that the wreckage of the Cessna T337G will be retrieved at a safe facility in Jacksonville, Florida.
On the day of the crash, Pembroke Pines Police reported that officers were assisting at the scene. Fortunately, all four individuals aboard—one pilot and three passengers—safely exited the aircraft.
The aircraft had been coming from Turks and Caicos when the incident occurred. It’s, well, remarkable that nobody was seriously injured given the circumstances. Police and emergency responders acted quickly, and it seems, against odds, everyone is okay.
