Kai Trump’s Golf Journey and Grandfather’s Influence

Kai Trump’s passion for golf took root when she was just two years old, and she credits her grandfather, former President Donald Trump, for nurturing her love for the sport. It’s well-known that the 47th president enjoys spending time on the golf course, and this shared interest has helped solidify their bond. Now an 18-year-old golfer at the University of Miami, she recently reflected on the role sports play in her relationship with him.

“We’re really close, and our involvement in golf has definitely influenced me,” she shared, mentioning her experiences at Trump Doral and the encouragement she received regarding her college aspirations.

Over the years, they’ve spent countless hours on the course as he worked to help her compete at the Division I level. Even before stepping into politics, President Trump was deeply involved in golf, overseeing 15 courses under Trump Golf, with 11 located in the U.S.

Recently, Kai announced her first significant NIL partnership with Accelerator Active Energy, making her the brand’s first golf partner and also an equity partner. She expressed gratitude for the resources available to her, noting that they’ve helped her grow as a golfer. “I feel very fortunate to have had all this support,” she remarked.

But golf isn’t where their shared interests stop. President Trump has a broader passion for sports, like UFC. Kai recalled attending UFC 314 with her grandfather and family, describing the atmosphere as unforgettable. “I don’t think I’ve ever heard such a loud arena,” she stated, clearly enjoying the experience and the sense of community it fostered.

While golf is significant for Kai, it’s only part of her love for sports. She mentioned her fondness for tennis, having played since she was young, and enjoys watching matches like Wimbledon with her grandfather, which adds another layer to their bond.

Accelerator Active Energy, known for supporting women’s college athletes through initiatives like “The Livvy Fund,” also features other notable athletes like Travis Kelce among its partners. As Kai delves into content creation, she’s enthusiastic about her role, particularly in engaging with a broader audience. “Being able to work alongside such a great athlete is really exciting for me,” she concluded.
