With just two weeks until Election Day, former President Donald Trump has weighed in on the economy, immigration and inflation in seven battleground states where voters are likely to decide President Joe Biden's successor in the White House. He has a large lead over Vice President Harris. .
a Washington Post Scher Schools Poll In a survey conducted in early October of more than 5,000 registered voters in seven battleground states, a majority (51%) said they believed Trump would do a better job of addressing the economy. Only 36% said they believed Harris was better.
The results reflect a survey of registered voters in Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, Nevada, North Carolina, Pennsylvania and Michigan.
Trump enjoys a similar advantage on immigration. Fifty-two percent said they had more confidence in Trump on immigration, compared to just 33% who said they trusted Harris more.
When it comes to inflation, 49% say Trump would do a better job. 33% said Harris would do that.
90% of voters say the economy is important in their vote this year, including 65% who say it is very important. 3% said the economy is great, and 27% said the economy is doing well. 39% said the economy is not that good and 31% said the economy is bad.
58% said the economy was getting worse, while 21% said it was getting better. 21% answered that the current situation will not change. 64% think inflation is getting worse, 19% think it's getting better and 18% think it's staying the same.
