A Margaritaville cruise ship bartender has been accused of raping a passenger in his cabin. The cruise passenger claimed that the bartender had impregnated her and that she needed an abortion.

An anonymous woman from West Virginia, Jane Doe, has filed a federal lawsuit against Classica's Margaritaville at Sea cruise line in West Palm Beach, Florida.

Doe and a female companion (referred to as “HB” in court documents) were aboard the Sea Paradise ship Margaritaville, bound for the Bahamas from Riviera Beach, Florida.

On May 5, the women ordered alcoholic beverages on board.

“Both charged drinks based on cabin number, which resulted in flight attendants staffing the bar having access to the shared cabin number and room key,” the complaint states.

After drinking, the women returned to their cabins around 1 a.m.

The travel companion admitted he had reached his 10 drink limit and was “pretty drunk”.

The complaint alleges that 24-year-old bartender Hubesh Kumar Dookhi snuck into their cabin in the middle of the night with a stolen key card.

“HB stated that she was asleep when she was awoken by a male subject groping her breasts, kissing her neck, and penetrating her vagina,” the complaint alleges.

fox news According to the report, “Dokki and the women agree that Dokki took out his cell phone to take pictures while groping the women as they slept naked.''The woman who is also filing a civil lawsuit said: , claims that Docky pulled out his cellphone to videotape himself sexually assaulting his friend,'' after asking him to leave the evidence. ”

Jane Doe reported the sexual assault to cruise ship staff the next morning.

Investigators allegedly found HB's room key and a naked photo of her in the pocket of Dookie's work vest.

Doo, who is married, claimed to have become pregnant a few months later. She admitted that she had not taken a paternity test, but for medical reasons she claimed that she had not had sex with her husband at the time of the alleged assault.

Doe reportedly became pregnant as a result of sexual assault and traveled out of state to get an abortion.

The woman is seeking $75,000 in damages from Classica's Margaritaville at Sea cruise line. Ms Doo said she had “suffered physical, emotional and psychological distress”, as well as “embarrassment, humiliation and persistent psychological distress”, “aggravation and activation of pre-existing conditions and continued impairment and loss of ability to live a normal life”. “I am no longer able to send them,” he claims.

HB had previously filed a lawsuit alleging sexual assault. However, U.S. District Judge Robin Rosenberg denied her claim for punitive damages. She is now seeking damages from the cruise company.

Doe's attorney, Spencer Aronfeld, said: palm beach post Doe argued the two cases were “completely different” because she “got pregnant, was forced to have an abortion, and suffered severe complications.”

In an interview with FBI agents, Dookie allegedly admitted that he had been drinking on the night of the sexual assault. However, he initially claimed that he had participated in consensual sex with HB.

But Dookie took a plea deal last year, pleading guilty to one count of abusive sexual contact, avoiding the possibility of a lifetime in prison.

Dookie is scheduled to be sentenced on January 11th and faces up to two years in prison and a fine of up to $250,000.

A spokesperson for Sea Paradise Margaritaville declined USA Today's request for comment.
