First the Kentucky Derby, then Kansas!
Kyle Larson took the checkered flag on Sunday night Chris Busher In doing so by just an inch in the AdventHealth 400 at Kansas Speedway, Closest finish in NASCAR history.
After Kyle Busch spun on lap 261 of 267, sending the race into overtime, a restart was issued for a two-lap shootout, with Buscher taking the number one spot. But on the final lap, Larson tied it up on the backstretch. (Related article: 150th Kentucky Derby brings in record $320.5 million in bets)
Firing straight toward the goal line, both Larson and Buescher hit the door twice. Buescher was in the lead with just a foot from the stripe, but Larson quickly caught up and won in a literal photo finish by an incredible 0.001 seconds.
“That was wild,” Larson said. “I was obviously grateful for that attention. We were dying pretty badly. I was happy to finish third (outside pit road) and finish last place. I thought the best shot was to pick it up and split it inside for a three-wide.”

Ford is 30-0 in NASCAR’s top three series this season, with Ford losing three races this season by six thousandths of a second.

Xfinity Texas: Zeke loses by 0.002.
Kansas Cup: Buescher loses by .001.oh.
