Days of Our Lives actress Arianne Zucker has settled her lawsuit against the show’s producer and former executive producer, Albert Aller. She filed this lawsuit in February 2024, accusing Aller of sexual harassment and retaliation in the workplace.
The settlement was filed on Thursday in the Los Angeles County Superior Court, although specific details were kept private.
Zucker, who has portrayed Nicole Walker on the soap opera since 1998, alleged that Aller engaged in “serious and pervasive harassment and discrimination,” which included sexual remarks related to her gender, as reported by the LA Times.
Her complaint detailed instances where Aller allegedly grabbed her, hugged her while making inappropriate noises, pressed her against him, and repeatedly made sexual comments.
The lawsuit also names Corday Productions, the company that produces the show, along with its owner Ken Corday. Zucker claimed that she faced retaliation after raising concerns about Aller’s behavior.
As part of the filing, it was stated that Zucker’s pay was reduced, her travel allowance was canceled, and her character was slated for termination in June 2023 after more than two decades on the show. Although Corday Productions later offered to extend her contract, the lawsuit claims that they did not negotiate a pay raise during this process.
Robert Barta, Aller’s attorney, denied the allegations, explaining that Aller agreed to the settlement to resolve the issue and move forward. Corday Productions previously labeled Zucker’s claims as “baseless,” asserting that Aller’s behavior was promptly investigated before he was let go. Moreover, they mentioned that Zucker was offered a raise during contract renewal negotiations.
Zucker’s attorney, Anahita Sedagatfal, has expressed admiration for her client for advocating on behalf of others who may feel too intimidated to speak out about misconduct.
Days of Our Lives is recognized as one of the longest-running scripted television shows globally, having been on the air most weekdays since November 8, 1965. The show transitioned from NBC to the Peacock streaming platform in 2022.
