Actor Jamie Kennedy Criticizes Celebrity Elites Opposing ICE While Safe on Red Carpets

Jamie Kennedy challenged celebrities who criticize ICE, stating, “If you really cared, you wouldn’t be at Sundance.” He urged fellow actors to take real action instead of just making statements.

“I get that there are protests against ICE, but then you see actors on the red carpet claiming things like, ‘We’re living in a fascist regime,'” Kennedy expressed during a recent podcast appearance. try not to die Podcast.

He continued, “You’re literally under the protection of the top levels of authority. It’s a bit ironic to claim you’re in an authoritarian system when you’re literally part of it.” This was shared on a podcast with Jack Osborne and Ryan Drexler.

“When I see folks from Brentwood showing up at Sundance, I think, ‘You really care about this?’ If you genuinely cared, you’d be somewhere else. Go stand on the front lines.”

Kennedy acknowledged, “I know it’s a complicated situation. There’s a lot happening, but if you’re protesting against those trying to manage crime, it seems a bit counterproductive. It isn’t perfect, but I’m not the one involved.”

“Let’s follow our laws and work to get rid of criminals,” Kennedy emphasized.

He also referred to a specific actor without naming him, saying, “I almost wanted to call him out and say, ‘Just be quiet.’

Additionally, Kennedy reacted to a TMZ post featuring a clip from the podcast, reiterating his points. He wrote, “This is a complex issue, but blaming law enforcement while at a well-guarded event—and then retreating to your gated home—is deeply hypocritical. Why can’t people see this?”

It’s still unclear who exactly Kennedy was referring to, but many prominent individuals have recently criticized U.S. law enforcement, often using social media and interviews to voice their concerns, with Democrats adding to the discourse.

For instance, breaking bad actor Giancarlo Esposito called for a “revolution” against ICE in a recent interview at a red carpet event. Even though he could earn a $4 million prize, he’s likely watching it all unfold from home.

“We’re in a revolutionary moment,” Esposito claimed, casually mentioning that “50 million” might perish in the process, but “the rest will survive.”
