Robert Carradine’s Cause of Death Revealed
The medical examiner has disclosed that Robert Carradine, known for his roles in “Lizzie McGuire” and “Revenge of the Nerds,” died due to a brain injury associated with hanging.
According to a report from the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner, Carradine had voluntarily admitted himself to a psychiatric facility where he had previously received treatment for suicidal thoughts. An employee at the center reportedly found him hanging in his room after informing him that his daughter wanted to talk.
Medical staff attempted to resuscitate Carradine, who was also experiencing cardiac arrest, and he was taken to intensive care. Sadly, he passed away weeks later on February 23.
The medical examiner’s report classified his death as a suicide, noting that he did not leave behind a suicide note.
Investigators learned from Carradine’s daughter that he had been diagnosed with bipolar disorder and struggled with mental health issues for around 20 years. He battled severe depression and anxiety and was on multiple medications at the time of his death.
A prolific actor, Carradine accumulated more than 150 credits throughout his career, with notable appearances in “The Cowboys,” “Django Unchained,” “Joyride,” “ER,” and “The Big Red One.”
