Adams staffer who tore down Israel hostage poster has been indefinitely suspended without pay

An Adams administration official accused of tearing down posters of Israeli hostages and assaulting an enraged witness has been “suspended indefinitely without pay,” it has been revealed.

Nara Sutherland, special events coordinator for special projects and community events in the mayor's office, ripped the poster from a utility pole on the Upper East Side earlier this month, shredded it and threw it in the trash, according to a video posted online. However, City Hall officials told the Post on Monday that Mayor Eric Adams was not personally briefed on the light punishment given to Sutherland, who is said to be a junior employee, and was not involved.
