Stein shared his thoughts, stating, “Well, this is a great day for me.” He expressed his opinions during a discussion with Blaze TV host Sarah Gonzalez on her show, “Sara Gonzalez Unfiltered.” He made some controversial remarks, suggesting that while he disapproves of Ocasio-Cortez’s stance on certain issues—like abortion and immigration—he still finds her attractive, saying, “she’s not half bad” and “she’s reasonably good-looking.”
“No matter how much we rib her,” he commented, “the reality is politics often boils down to popularity, and she’s quite popular.” He also reflected on her recent political rhetoric, noting that she had called the reactions from some groups in 2020 “crazy.”
As Ocasio-Cortez possibly considers a presidential run in 2028, Stein speculated on her future political alignment, indicating that it might not be out of reach for her to adopt more centrist viewpoints.
“I really think she could be well-received internationally, aside from hot-button issues like abortion and immigration,” he added thoughtfully.
Stein went on to discuss Ocasio-Cortez’s personal decisions regarding family, reflecting that she might have frozen her eggs in preparation for having children, pointing out a historical anomaly—she’s a Latina approaching forty who has not had children.
In a prior incident that drew media attention, Gonzalez played a clip showing Ocasio-Cortez responding to a man who had harassed her on Capitol steps. The man, identified as Stein, commented on her appearance, leading to a backlash from Ocasio-Cortez, who labeled the incident “very disturbing.”
Stein’s recollection of the situation suggests he saw his actions as harmless, claiming the man in the incident simply walked by with his dog and wasn’t confrontational. He theorized that Ocasio-Cortez desires a strong partner, although he emphasized that this was mere speculation.
