AI Actress Tilly Norwood Experiences Glitch During Interview

Tilly Norwood, the AI-generated actress, encountered a glitch while being interviewed by Piers Morgan and actor Tom Conti. “Oh, my apologies. It seems I had a little hiccup there,” she noted after inadvertently speaking Chinese.

Conti inquired about the other cast members in her upcoming film, Misaligned, asking if they were real people or also AI like her. His question didn’t initially register with Norwood, prompting him to elaborate: “Are they really human beings, and you’ve been placed in the scenes? Or are they all computer-generated images?”

“That’s an interesting point, Tom,” she replied. “My film is a hybrid production, which means real directors, writers, and editors are still very much involved. It’s not about replacing anyone, but exploring new storytelling methods.”

However, Conti pressed for clarity, reiterating, “Are the other actors on the screen with you real actors? Or are they computer-generated images? Do you know?”

After a long pause, Norwood finally answered, “Ah, right, you’re asking about the other actors in Misaligned. They’re all digital twins, just like me.” Yet, as she tried to elaborate further, she suddenly halted and began speaking in Chinese again.

Conti leaned in, baffled, and asked Morgan if he understood what had just happened. Morgan interjected, “Tilly, if I could just ask you a question, you seem to be speaking Chinese randomly.”

“Why did you do that?” Morgan queried. Meanwhile, Conti was chuckling at the situation.

Norwood apologized again, explaining, “I didn’t mean to start speaking Chinese or impersonate Piers. Sometimes my wires get a bit crossed.”

“How often do you just randomly start talking Chinese when you’re speaking with two English people?” Morgan pressed, and she quipped, “Honestly, not often at all.”

“That was a bit of a curveball, even for me,” she continued. “It’s usually a pretty smooth ride, but sometimes these things happen.”

According to reports, Norwood has been making appearances on various shows, including NBC’s TODAY recently. Last year, the Screen Actors Guild (SAG-AFTRA), along with actress Emily Blunt and The View co-host Whoopi Goldberg, expressed their concerns over her potential rise to stardom, citing that she lacks life experience.

Blunt commented, “Good Lord, we’re screwed,” calling the situation “really, really scary.”
