MILWAUKEE — EXCLUSIVE: Alina Habba, former lawyer and legal spokesperson for former President Donald Trump, is taking on a key new role that she hopes will help accomplish the “crucial” task of returning Trump to the White House this November.
Haba is currently a senior adviser to Trump’s reelection campaign. The promotion comes after she gained national recognition for her role as a legal advocate. Despite only joining Trump’s team in 2021, Haba has already secured more court victories for the former president than any other lawyer.
Fox News Digital spoke with Hubba ahead of Trump’s highly anticipated speech at the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee, where he spoke about his new role and previewed what the former president will say to the delegates and supporters who cheered Trump’s triumphant return home after the assassination attempt earlier this week.

“I think the best word to use is moved. I was moved,” Haba said when asked how he felt watching Trump, his injured ear bandaged, enter the convention hall on Monday night to thunderous cheers and applause. “I think the American people have seen that President Trump today is different than he was before.”
“I never thought in my life that something like this would happen to me, let alone that I’d survive and be able to say, ‘He was my friend,’ so it was a very difficult experience for me,” she said. “It was traumatic, but I’m proud of him.”
Haba described the promotion as a “great honour” and said that as a mother it would give her the opportunity to discuss issues important to women across the country.
She plans to continue serving as Trump’s lawyer due to the ongoing litigation she is involved in, but also plans to become “the voice of President Trump” to speak out on broader issues.

The Trump campaign said earlier this week that after his own close encounter with death, Trump would use his speech to call for unity in the face of tragedy, rather than criticizing his political opponents.
Haba elaborated further, telling Fox that Trump’s speech had changed “dramatically” after Saturday’s events.
“I won’t go into details, but I think it’s genuine. Everything he does is genuine and I think it changed his outlook on life,” she said. “Not that he wasn’t a great fighter already, but I think the country needs to hear him from a different perspective.”
“I don’t see why we can’t, given what he’s actually gone through. So this is going to be real. It’s going to be real. And I think that’s something the American public needs to hear.”

Haba will be delivering her own speech at the Republican National Convention on Thursday ahead of Trump, which she said will be an emotional one for her.
“It takes a lot to upset me these days. I’ve been through a lot with him. But this time means a lot to me. So I’m not going to talk about the legal issues. I’m going to talk about him. I’m excited to do that and I’m excited for the American people to get to know the President Trump that I know,” she said.
Haba’s ad has been well-received and is already helping to boost fundraising for the Trump campaign, according to people familiar with the matter.

“The best thing about her voice is she doesn’t give opinions. She bases her voice on legal facts and procedure, and she does it clearly and forcefully and in a beautiful way,” Rep. Corey Mills (R-Fla.) said of Haba, stopping by during a break in the Fox interview.
“Brains and good looks are a dangerous combination in this game,” he said.
