Cincinnati Mob Attack Suspects Indicted, Facing Additional Charges

All six individuals accused in the Cincinnati mob attack were formally charged on Friday, with additional counts brought against them, according to WLWT-TV.

Reportedly, each suspect is facing eight charges.

“We are quite concerned that this situation may lead to repercussions for all those involved in the brawl,” said a spokesperson for the prosecution.

If convicted on all counts, each could face up to two years behind bars.

“What I observed in the video is not representative of the Cincinnati I cherish,” stated Hamilton County Prosecutor Connie Pilich during the announcement of the charges, as reported by WLWT. “These allegations will hold individuals accountable for their actions.”

In court, five of the suspects—Jermaine Matthews, 39; Dekyra Vernon, 24; Montianez Merriweather, 34; Aisha Devaughn, 25; and Dominique Kittle, 37—were present. Meanwhile, Patrick Rosemond, 38, was arrested in Georgia and is set for extradition back to Cincinnati.

Rosemond is accused of attacking a woman named Holly during the melee, who was seen in a video appearing to be knocked out. She had previously thrown a punch at one of the assailants.

Ohio Republican Senator Bernie Moreno shared a disturbing image of Holly’s injuries on social media, taken shortly after the incident.

Vivek Ramaswamy, a candidate for Ohio governor, also posted a close-up image of her face just after she fell, with her eyes wide open and people attempting to assist her.

Later, Holly filmed herself in tears, expressing her experience.

The NAACP released a statement expressing disappointment over the violence, indicating that numerous poor choices were made and calling for thorough investigations into the incident.

They raised concerns regarding the charges brought, questioning whether they were appropriately targeting those involved in instigating the violence.

In response to inquiries about further potential charges, especially concerning another individual mentioned in the NAACP statement, officials noted that investigations are ongoing.

Mayor Aftab Pureval confirmed that this individual is currently being investigated.

As of now, police have not disclosed specific details, stating that the situation remains an open and active investigation.
