A man had to be airlifted to a hospital after being bitten by an alligator in South Florida on Sunday.
Miami-Dade Fire Rescue responded to the Everglades National Park entry just after 4:45 p.m., WSVN-TV reported.
“An adult male reported being bitten by an alligator,” first responders said over the radio, according to the television station.
The injured victim was found by first responders and airlifted to Ryder Trauma Center at Jackson South Medical Center in southwest Miami-Dade.

The patient remained hospitalized in unknown condition Monday morning, WSVN reported.
