Let’s clarify something: President Trump’s Operation Epic Fury aimed to prevent Iran from getting a nuclear weapon, a stance that has historically been non-negotiable for most U.S. politicians. Now, with many Americans facing higher gas prices than last year, it seems voters are leaning towards candidates who oppose U.S. interests. This includes people like Abdul El-Sayed, a Democratic contender for a Michigan Senate seat, who I can’t help but question as a true patriot aligned with American values. He hesitated to denounce Iran’s Revolutionary Guard, despite their violent history against both their own citizens and Americans. Plus, his changing stance on health care—initially advocating for Medicare-for-All until it posed a risk to his campaign—raises issues about his reliability. And he associates with controversial figures like Hasan Piker, who has made unsettling remarks about America. Is that really representative of our values?
MORNING GLORY: ROGERS VERSUS EL-SAYED IS A REFERENDUM ON THE FUTURE OF AMERICA
Here are three reasons voters should reconsider their choices before the midterms:
- Democrats often talk about “affordability,” but the reality is prices just go up.
- We need to consider the economy—not just sensational headlines in liberal media—because progress is being made beneath the surface. Democrats may undo this growth.
- Voters should be wary of how quickly Democrats might revert to earlier policies: less stringent border controls, leniency towards crime that endangers communities, and restrictions on fossil fuel industries that affect economic competitiveness.
Do we genuinely want to return to the “woke” policies of Joe Biden? There were valid reasons people elected Donald Trump in 2024; those issues remain relevant.
OUR CLOSING ARGUMENT: THE MIDTERMS ARE A REFERENDUM ON WHO RUNS YOUR LIFE
Let’s talk about the ridiculous idea that Democrats can actually deliver “affordability.” Out of the ten most expensive states in the U.S., excluding Alaska, they are all Democrat-led. The same goes for the top ten costly cities, with Miami being the only exception. Is this just a coincidence? Not at all. The policies often favor higher taxes and complex regulations, which end up raising costs for consumers.
For example, California has the highest gas tax at 74 cents per gallon. Complex building regulations in New York lead to longer construction times than anywhere else, driving housing prices up. Additionally, New York Governor Kathy Hochul’s $22 fee for congestion affects trucks delivering essential goods, and guess who ultimately pays the price?
THE DSA’S DANGEROUS FINE PRINT. THEY’RE COMING FOR MILLIONAIRES (AND YOU)
Democrats have a reputation for high spending and high taxes. During her 2024 presidential campaign, Kamala Harris wanted to reverse Trump’s tax cuts, which had given average families an extra $2,000. Every Democrat in Congress voted against a significant tax reduction bill that aimed to increase take-home pay for working individuals.
Moreover, Joe Biden increased the federal workforce to about 3 million, while Donald Trump scaled it down to 2.67 million, focusing more on boosting manufacturing jobs instead of government positions. That’s the reality we see now.
DSA-BACKED CANDIDATES ARE WINNING PRIMARIES AND THEIR VISION FOR AMERICA IS VERY DIFFERENT
Democrats seem eager to expand welfare programs, giving taxpayer-funded benefits to even non-citizens, whereas Republicans aim to reduce spending by eliminating fraud.
Thanks to Trump’s approach of cutting regulations and taxes, businesses are thriving. The economy, according to the Atlanta Fed, has been growing at over 5%, and investments—especially in AI—are on the rise. While some people might fear the impact of AI, the potential benefits, such as medical advancements and improvements in education, can really turn things around. Yes, the government should ensure safety in this tech area, but Congress shouldn’t meddle in its regulation.
Child poverty has hit record lows, and real median household income stands at an all-time high. Even household net worth has risen 17% since Trump took office, with the stock market near its peak, a situation benefiting around 62% of Americans with stock investments. All of this progress could vanish if Democrats regain control.
MORNING GLORY: FIVE SENATE RACES SHOW WHY DEMOCRATS MAY REGRET THEIR PRIMARY CHOICES
How could this happen, you ask? Firstly, they may reinstate open border policies, with some candidates even wanting to abolish borders entirely. Secondly, figures like Bernie Sanders might try to hinder AI advancements, putting the U.S. at a disadvantage compared to China. Thirdly, a Democrat-controlled Congress might reverse Medicaid eligibility changes, growing welfare programs again. Fourthly, they might attempt to throttle U.S. oil and gas production, similar to Biden’s actions in Alaska. Lastly, they will likely oppose extending Trump’s tax cuts, creating uncertainty and stifling business growth.
While Trump has made some errors—like trying to attach his name to the Kennedy Center and having confrontations with Canada and the media—he generally gets key issues right. Conversely, the Democrats aren’t just making mistakes; they seem to be fundamentally misguided.
