Search Continues for Missing American in Turks and Caicos
Despite the recent discovery of decomposed male bodies on the idyllic island, Brian Tarence and another American who went missing in Caicos are still unaccounted for. Tarence, a 51-year-old business executive from Monroe, New York, was last seen on June 25th after leaving his rental condo. He was vacationing there with his wife, Maria.
Interestingly, on the same day he disappeared, a tragic shooting occurred about nine miles away. Guards were killed by a masked gunman outside a supermarket, but investigators believe there’s no link to Tarence’s case.
As for Brian Tarence—who recently moved from Monroe to Manhattan—he arrived in Caicos on June 22nd with his wife and was scheduled to leave about a week later. The search for him intensified after he vanished, and on July 5th, bodies were found in Grace Bay, close to their vacation spot. However, as of now, the identities of those deceased remain unconfirmed.
Fox News Digital reached out to the local police for updates, but unfortunately, there was no response.
It seems that before his disappearance, Tarence and his wife enjoyed a boat trip. Surveillance footage captured him leaving his condo early in the morning, around 3:30 AM, with just his phone and wallet. His other belongings were left behind, and his wife hadn’t realized he was gone until later.
Carl DeFazio, the family’s private investigator, described the situation as puzzling. He noted that the area is generally considered safe, situated right in the bustling center of Grace Bay Road. “He was walking into town and then just vanished,” he remarked, reflecting the confusion surrounding this case.
