In her post, Schumer explained that she had a laminectomy due to a surfing injury that had been causing her significant discomfort. She expressed hope for a swift recovery, mentioning that she’d buy a new bra once she feels better.

Her followers and friends reacted positively, sending messages of support for her healing journey. Interestingly, Schumer’s surgery comes just a few months after she began using a weight-loss medication called Murjaro, after experiencing adverse effects from another medication, Ozempic. In a recent video, she talked about her struggle with these medications, noting that after switching, her symptoms from perimenopause had significantly improved.

While she reflected on her health journey, Schumer noted that she has more energy and feels better overall. There’s always a bit of a push and pull with these things, you know? She seems optimistic about her future both physically and emotionally as she continues her path to recovery.
