Hunter Biden’s Interview Previewed by Ana Navarro
On Thursday, Ana Navarro, co-host of “The View,” shared insights about a forthcoming 90-minute interview with Hunter Biden on ABC’s “Behind the Table” podcast. She described Biden as “charming” and labeled him as “the biggest troll.” Navarro suggested that the criticism concerning Biden’s income from Burisma is insignificant compared to the earnings of the Trump family during Donald Trump’s presidency.
“The monetization of the presidency—Mr. Hunter being pulled into a Republican dilemma and brought to Congressional hearings over his Burisma income—doesn’t match the billions earned by the Trump family during this time,” Navarro stated. She emphasized that this comparison reveals several “double standards” that surfaced during their discussion on the podcast “Bleep! with Ana Navarro.”
Examining Biden’s social media presence, Navarro noted, “He’s been the biggest troll, and I wanted him on the show because he does it all with humor.” She even pointed out a particular exchange where Biden responded to someone blaming him for cocaine found in the White House: “And he says, ‘No, I never forgot about Coke.'” While the Secret Service closed their investigation without identifying a suspect, it’s reported that the FBI reopened the case in 2025. Navarro found their conversation engaging from start to finish.
Reflecting on the interview, she said, “Hunter Biden is very engaging. We talked for over an hour and a half. Here’s the thing: it was scheduled at the exact same time as the Argentina-England World Cup match!”
In terms of financial ties, Burisma paid Biden and his business associate Devon Archer a salary of $1 million each per year after they joined the board in 2014. This information comes from the House Oversight Committee, mentioning Biden’s association with his father, then-Vice President Joe Biden, during U.S. policy formulation related to Ukraine in the Obama administration.
In February 2024, Hunter Biden participated in a closed House deposition amid the Republican-led impeachment inquiry regarding his father, though the House never voted on any impeachment articles. Navarro also defended the legitimacy of Biden’s art sales, asserting that these transactions were under scrutiny.
She remarked, “While his father was president, he wasn’t making any money at all; he was focused on his paintings. Every artwork had to be evaluated, and he persisted in painting throughout his life.” However, the White House pushed back against Navarro’s comparison, arguing that Donald Trump’s children have notably successful businesses. The claim stated, “President Trump’s children lead multibillion-dollar companies independently, while Hunter Biden has faced serious controversies.” White House communications director Stephen Chan reiterated that “no one cares what he says.”
In light of Biden’s art dealings, former gallerist Georges Bergès testified that a buyer anonymity agreement only took effect in September 2021 and that Biden was familiar with 70% of the buyers. Reportedly, ten buyers purchased his works for a total of $1.5 million, from which Biden reportedly received $900,000.
In June, estimates released indicated that Donald Trump and his sons augmented the family wealth by at least $2.3 billion through their cryptocurrency ventures during his presidency.
