No Kings Rally Planned Against Trump
Various leftist groups are urging participants from the George Floyd protests to take part in a “No Kings” rally intended to oppose President Donald Trump, which is set for Saturday.
CrimethInc, an international anarchist organization, called on supporters to join in an “anti-authoritarian” demonstration reminiscent of the 2020 Black Lives Matter protests. They described this event as a “nationwide” anti-Trump rally and promoted the idea of a “direct action plan,” which, essentially, means mobilizing people to create social unrest, even at the risk of arrest.

An anonymous post from CrimethInc emphasized the need for a diverse coalition to stand against what it described as Trump’s authoritarian tendencies. The message highlighted the importance of uniting everyone from fervent protesters of the George Floyd uprising to retirees who protested at Tesla dealerships earlier this year.
Requests for comments to CrimethInc and No Kings were not returned. However, CrimethInc’s website lists contact details for inquiries in Olympia, Washington.
A related post from June 2020, titled “Snapshots from the Uprising,” celebrated the violent protests in Minneapolis and depicted local people engaging in those actions. The unrest during those times resulted in numerous fatalities and significant property damage across the U.S.
While No Kings claims to be committed to nonviolent action, their website suggests that participants should aim to minimize conflicts with those who hold opposing views, advocating lawful behavior during events.
Radical leftist groups frequently utilize anonymous platforms like CrimethInc to publicize unlawful activities, announce future gatherings, and strategize actions against their opponents. The Trump administration recently condemned similar Antifa-affiliated sites after they encouraged protesters to engage in dangerous activities in Portland, Oregon.
CrimethInc’s remarks on the No Kings rally expressed that while the situation is dire, so is the need for taking action. They reassured potential participants that they are not alone in this struggle, urging collaboration through secure communication platforms like Signal.
