Former New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo filed a lawsuit against New York Attorney General Letitia James on Thursday seeking documents related to the 2021 investigation into sexual harassment allegations that led to his resignation.

The 165-page report found Cuomo's actions violated state and federal law and his own policies from 2013 to 2020. Nine of the accusers were former or current state employees, and investigators interviewed 179 people and reviewed more than 74,000 pages of documents. .

“What these witnesses and many others described was sexual harassment, not just an old-fashioned, affectionate act,” the report said.
Mr. Cuomo has denied all allegations and said in his lawsuit that Mr. James' report was “materially inaccurate, incomplete, biased, flawed, and misleading.”
“Governor Cuomo vehemently denies any sexual harassment, and the testimony of witnesses related to the allegations in both lawsuits will be critical to his defense.”

When Cuomo resigned, he said he “deeply” apologized for what he deemed inappropriate behavior while in office, but denied the sexual harassment allegations that were involved. Mr. James investigation.

A criminal investigation into Mr. Cuomo's actions did not result in criminal charges because although prosecutors found the accuser to be credible, there was insufficient evidence.

According to the New York Daily News, Cuomo's spokesman Rich Azzopardi said Friday that James “did everything to hide” the documents from New Yorkers, adding, “The courts will step in and order enforcement.
