Andy Biggs Leading Among Likely Voters in Arizona Republican Gubernatorial Primary

Arizona Republican Gubernatorial Primary Update

A recent poll obtained exclusively by Breitbart News indicates that Rep. Andy Biggs (R-AZ) has secured a significant lead in the Arizona Republican Gubernatorial Primary. The Pulse Decision Science Survey reveals that Biggs is ahead of businessman Karrin Taylor Robson with 55% to 31%, leaving 14% of major Republican voters undecided.

Both Biggs and Robson are competing to succeed Gov. Katie Hobbs (D-AZ) in leading the Grand Canyon State. Interestingly, if Rep. David Schweikert (R-AZ) entered the race, he would reportedly come in third with 11%, trailing Biggs by a substantial 38% in a direct matchup.

According to Biggs’ spokesperson, Drew Sexton, August has positioned Biggs as a frontrunner for the GOP primary, suggesting he is the strongest candidate to take on Hobbs in November 2026. He is noted to be the only candidate endorsed by both former President Donald Trump and President Charlie Kirk.

Biggs also enjoys backing from conservative grassroots movements. For instance, Turning Point USA’s PAC invested around $500,000 to support him during the second quarter of 2025.

However, the Pulse Decision polls contrast with others by Noble Predictive Insights, which found that 37% of registered Republicans favor Robson. This suggests that Biggs has a 27% deficit among GOP voters, with 36% still undecided. It’s worth pondering how different polling methodologies might impact these outcomes—perhaps traditional polling companies have a tendency to assess likely voters differently than just registered ones.

The poll, commissioned by Arizona Republican leaders, surveyed 502 major GOP voters between September 8th and 10th, presenting a margin of error of 4.4% and a 95% confidence level.

Rep. Eli Crane (R-AZ) commented on Biggs’ ability to communicate conservative values without making enemies. He described Biggs as a “happy warrior,” noting his capacity to connect with others rather than alienate them.

A national Republican strategist highlighted that Biggs has a potential to energize the base during midterm elections, emphasizing that a candidate resembling Trump could best galvanize the majority of Trump supporters. Biggs, he believes, stands out as that candidate.

In September, Biggs pointed to his consistent record of achievements as a differentiating factor. It seems that as the primary approaches, the dynamics among the candidates will be closely watched.
