Andy Cohen Criticizes Joe Rogan for Backing Spencer Pratt’s Mayoral Campaign
Talk show host Andy Cohen, known for his role in the Real Housewives franchise, has taken aim at podcaster Joe Rogan. His criticism comes after Rogan expressed support for Spencer Pratt, a former reality TV star, in his bid for mayor of Los Angeles.
Recently, Rogan invited Pratt onto his podcast. During the episode, he offered congratulations for Pratt’s decision to run, mentioning, “Listen, I’m voting for you. I can’t vote for you, but I’m rooting for you. I mean, if I lived in Los Angeles, I would vote for you without question,” despite living in Texas.
Pratt, for his part, explained his unexpected entrance into politics. He revealed that the devastating wildfires influenced his decision. “What happened is, after a year of revealing how my house and my parents’ house burned down, my neighbors burned alive, and 7,000 houses burned, I realized there was a negligent cover-up of it all. And I keep posting about it. I have all the facts, I have all the whistleblowers, I have all the evidence,” he stated.
He added, “And we see that no one stands up to the mayor, who is responsible for this disaster and many others.”
During a recent episode of Watch What Happens Live, Cohen expressed disapproval of Rogan’s endorsement, calling him a “fucking idiot.” He sarcastically remarked, “Oh, Logan. What a great mind…” prompting laughter from Kristin Cavallari, who shared the set with him. Cohen further added, “Joe, you’re an asshole, Logan. You’re an idiot.”
As the mayoral election looms, a recent survey indicates that many residents of Los Angeles are feeling dissatisfied with their quality of life. Conducted by the Luskin School of Public Affairs at UCLA, the survey questioned 1,400 residents from March 15 to March 29, showing that their overall satisfaction has declined significantly.
“The overall index has fallen to a historic low of 52, and six of the nine categories that make up the index have also fallen to their lowest levels on record,” the report detailed. Issues such as education, transportation, and cost of living were highlighted as major concerns, alongside fears about deportation and dissatisfaction with wildfire relief under Mayor Karen Bass.
Despite these challenges, Mayor Bass currently leads the race for reelection, followed by Spencer Pratt. The survey indicated that among 813 likely voters for the June primary, Bass holds a lead with 25% support, while Pratt has 11%, and Nisya Raman is at 9%. Notably, a significant 40% of voters remain undecided.
This research suggests a fluid electoral landscape where voter preferences are still developing, making the competition dynamic as the election approaches.
