Angry Ana Navarro Criticizes Trump’s “Disgusting” AI Image of Himself as the Pope: “This Is Him Messing with Us”

Anna Navarro Critiques Trump’s Pope Photo Posts

During a recent episode of The View, co-host Anna Navarro criticized President Donald Trump for sharing “disrespectful” images of the Pope from the White House’s official social media account.

Over the weekend, an AI-generated image was posted on X and Truth Social, depicting Trump in a white cassock and a Papal tiara.

“I’m aware that this isn’t about his disregard for the constitution; it’s part of his distraction strategy,” Navarro stated. “He’s clearly pushing our buttons, getting us to react in anger. But, you know, I’m a flawed Catholic—I can’t help but engage, but I still consider myself a Catholic.”

“It’s inappropriate to tweet something like that under the official description of the Pope,” she added. “Honestly, it’s quite disgusting and frankly ridiculous.”

Navarro pointed out that “people of faith who genuinely believe in God and church traditions” are affected by the recent passing of Francis, who died from a stroke and cardiovascular issues on April 21.

“This is a critical time for the Catholic Church, as they are in the midst of selecting a new Pope,” she remarked. “I think it’s time for devout Catholics who supported Trump to reflect on what they believed he stood for in terms of faith and to question both the White House and Trump himself.”

Navarro concluded her thoughts with a pointed remark aimed at the President. “Trump, it’s ‘His Holiness, the Pope,’ not ‘his oil god, dope,'” she emphasized.

The View airs on ABC on weekdays beginning November 10th.
