Announcement of Harris' book tour regarding her unsuccessful campaign ridiculed on social media

The former Vice President Kamala Harris recently announced a tour to promote her new book, which has faced mockery on social media. The book, titled “107 Days,” recounts her brief and unsuccessful 2024 presidential campaign against Donald Trump.

“107 days are my honest and personal account of the shortest presidential election in modern history. I plan to travel across the country in the coming months to share behind-the-scenes moments, lessons learned, and how we continue to move forward together,” Harris explained.

In July, she revealed that the book would launch on September 23rd, expressing her belief in the importance of sharing her insights and experiences.

This tour has attracted laughter online, with some referring to it as a “national comedy tour.” Notably, Rep. Virginia Fox (R-N.C.) criticized the effort, while political commentator Stephen Miller suggested that people might actually want to hear more from Harris after the last election.

White House deputy press secretary Abigail Jackson questioned the wisdom of Harris’s tour, asking whether her team lacked self-awareness. She also made a comment about it being akin to an “error tour,” contrasting it with Taylor Swift’s recent tour.

John Podhoretz, editor of a commentary magazine, pondered the need for rehearsing staged conversations, hinting at the absurdity of the situation.

Meanwhile, a conservative commentator joked about finding his place in a fantasy football punishment scheme.

Earlier this month, Harris appeared on Stephen Colbert’s late-night show, expressing dissatisfaction with the political system and mentioning her desire for a break from it. She stated, “For now, I don’t want to go back to the system. I think it’s broken,” in response to inquiries about potentially running for governor.

Harris’s office has not yet responded to requests for comments about the tour.
