On the final day of Pride Month, anti-Israel agitators disrupted New York’s Pride Parade by blocking the route and vandalizing floats.
Videos posted on social media showed a group of anti-Israel activists sitting in the street holding posters and chanting “Free Palestine” and “From the sea to the river, Palestine will be free.”
“We’ve certainly seen an uptick this year in terms of protests at Pride events,” Sandra Perez, executive director of New York Pride, told The Associated Press, “but we were born out of protest.”
Other videos showed anti-Israel protesters vandalizing floats and vehicles during the parade and spray-painting graffiti on a truck carrying Pride groups.

“Palestinian protesters in NYC are making it clear they don’t want support from the LGBTQ community,” one user commented to X.
“It’s always fun when leftists eat themselves,” another user wrote.
The protests continued into the night, with reports of fights breaking out between anti-Israel protesters.
Some reports said some protesters had climbed over barricades and were throwing fake blood.
Dozens of protesters were also handcuffed with zip ties by police.
According to the NYC Pride website, the theme of this year’s New York Pride Parade was “Reflection, Empowerment, Unity.”
The first Pride March was held in New York City in 1970 to mark the first anniversary of the Stonewall Inn uprising, a riot that began with a police raid on a gay bar in Manhattan.

The 40th annual St. Louis Pride Parade on Sunday, June 30, was postponed after about a dozen anti-Boeing and anti-Israel protesters chained themselves together and blocked Market Street.
The parade was briefly halted, but police quickly acted to remove all the protesters.
“Protesters are refusing to leave the street despite multiple orders to disperse. Protesters will be arrested,” St. Louis police said in a post on X.
FBI and Homeland Security warn of increased terror threats during Pride Month 2024

Ahead of Pride Month, federal intelligence agencies have issued a warning that this year’s Pride Month could be a target for terrorist organizations.

“The FBI and Department of Homeland Security are issuing this public service announcement to raise public awareness of the possibility that foreign terrorist organizations (FTOS) or their supporters may target LGBTQIA+ related events and venues,” the FBI said in a previous statement. “Foreign terrorist organizations and their supporters may attempt to take advantage of increased gatherings related to the upcoming Pride Month in June 2024.”
The public service announcement referenced the June 2023 incident. Vienna, Austria, Meanwhile, three ISIS operatives attempted to attack the Pride parade.

Thousands of spectators lined Market Street in San Francisco on Sunday for one of the world’s largest Pride festivals.
Pride parades were also held in Minneapolis and Seattle, capping off a month of celebrations, with Seattle expecting more than 300,000 participants to mark the 50th anniversary of Pride.
