Activist groups at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), the University of Texas at Austin, and Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland, all announced on social media that they would hold anti-Israel protests on Wednesday, April 24th.
Pro-Palestinian factions at all three universities have posted on social media announcing their intention to stage a “resistance movement,” including one from the Hopkins Justice Collective calling on members to “also support our brothers and sisters in Gaza. This also includes posts.” They are the same students on many college campuses across the country who are fighting for Israel’s exit from settler colonies. ”

The newly anticipated anti-Israel protests come as hundreds of student activists confirmed mass participation at Columbia University in New York City and Yale University in New Haven, Connecticut. Similar protests have occurred at other universities in recent days.
The University of Maryland, College Park, Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee, and the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign have all experienced similar protests in recent days targeting Israel’s war with the terrorist group Hamas in the Gaza Strip. ing.
Many of the protesters are calling for an end to the fighting in the area, which has resulted in the deaths of tens of thousands of Palestinian civilians.
“Our university has chosen profit and reputation over the lives of the Palestinian people and our will as students. Protesters and agitators in the United States have successfully targeted all five of America’s top universities with protests, according to U.S. News and World Report’s 2024 rankings of America’s Best Universities.
These include Princeton University, MIT, Harvard University, Stanford University, and Yale University, each of which has seen active anti-Israel protests in recent days.

According to these rankings, at least half of the top 50 U.S. universities have experienced active anti-Israel protests in the past week.
Many of these universities have seen waves of anti-Israel protests since the Hamas-led terrorist attack on Israel on October 7, 2023, most recently at Columbia University on April 17, 2024. We have seen protests sparked since the protests.
