Anti-Israel protesters burn American flag during July 4 demonstration

A group of anti-Israel protesters celebrated the Fourth of July holiday in New York City by burning an American flag and shouting anti-American slogans over U.S. support for the Jewish state.

About 100 protesters gathered in Manhattan’s Washington Square Park to protest Israel’s war against Hamas in the Gaza Strip, following attacks by terrorist groups on Israeli communities on October 7, leaving casualties.

A man draped in an American flag said he was assaulted after apparently getting into an argument with anti-Israel protesters, and one arrest was made, the NYPD told the New York Post.

No charges have been released against the suspect. Fox News Digital has reached out to the NYPD. The protest was part of a coordinated “Flood Manhattan on the 4th of July” demonstration.

The crowd, mostly young people, could be heard chattering along with chants such as “Fuck Israel”, “Fuck America”, “Israel is the bomb, America is shit, how many kids did they kill today?”

Other slogans included “Liberate Palestine, liberate it” and “Burn it down.”

Next to the burning American flag were posters of President Biden and former President Trump. New York Post According to reports, the photo showed both men wearing crowns with the words “Death to All Kings” written in large letters underneath.

The poster appeared to be a reference to a U.S. Supreme Court ruling last week that gave the president effective immunity from prosecution for official acts committed while in office.
