Michigan Senate candidate Mike Rogers (R) said during a television appearance that former President Donald Trump could win Michigan if Arab Muslim voters, who are openly disappointed with the Biden-Harris administration, do not turn out to vote. Breitbart News Daily.
Rogers explained that there are about 300,000 Arab Muslim voters in Michigan, which he called a “very important group for the Democratic Party.”
“The Democratic coalition in Michigan is fracturing,” he said, highlighting autoworkers, black men and Muslim voters.
“I met with 40 leaders of that community,” he said of the Arab-Islamic Coalition, “and I’m pro-Israel, and they don’t like it. But they have a saying. One of them said I’d rather be stabbed in the face than in the back. They feel that what Joe Biden has said to them and done on the Israeli issue is different,” he said.

“My opponent did the same thing. … Maybe that’s why they’re doing it, because people are saying, ‘We’re not supporting Joe Biden or Harris.’ … She’s kind of got a nail in his claws on all these policies. … I think with Harris at the top, that coalition is just so troublesome for them, and I don’t think a vice presidential candidate is going to make much of a difference for them,” Rodger said, adding an even bigger perspective to the issue: “On a cold day in February in Michigan, 113,000 Muslim Arabs went to the polls and voted independent.
“This is a big swing. If just 10% of people say they won’t vote, that’s bigger than the margin that Trump won in Michigan in 2016,” he said. “That’s why this is so important.”
Host Mike Slater pointed out that this would be a “game-changing difference,” to which Rogers replied, “Exactly. And that’s why Michigan takes on a new, new feel that Republicans can win.”
