Ariana Grande criticizes supporters of President Trump in a harsh social media post.

Ariana Grande shared a pointed Instagram story over the weekend, critiquing supporters of President Trump.

The message, originally posted by Matt Bernstein, a podcast host, reflected on the distress caused to immigrants who have been forcibly separated from their families. He stated, “Freedom of speech is on the brink of collapse for all of us.”

Bernstein then posed a series of direct questions to Trump voters, asking if their lives had improved. “Has your groceries gotten cheaper? Are your health insurance premiums lower?” he continued, before querying, “Can you still take vacations? Are you happy?”

Grande, who is 32, did not add her own comments to the repost.

She previously revealed her support for Kamala Harris during the November 2024 election, informing her followers on Election Day that she had voted early in Florida. After Trump’s victory, she expressed solidarity with those feeling the heavy impact of the outcome.

The singer has frequently advocated for LGBTQ+ rights. In 2016, after Hillary Clinton lost to Trump, she predicted “very dark years ahead” and encouraged her followers to stay vocal and supportive of one another. She emphasized the importance of community and acceptance regardless of differences.

In a later instance, she subtly critiqued Trump’s presidency by reading a book on immigration in her music video for “Thank U, Next.” Her mother, Joan Grande, acknowledged her daughter as a passionate advocate for humanity.

Ariana’s advocacy for the LGBTQ+ community is personal; her brother, Frankie, identifies as gay. She has spoken fondly about how his identity has always been an integral part of their relationship.

This long-standing support showcases her deep connection with the community, as she expressed a desire to foster an environment where everyone feels an authentic sense of belonging.
