Bizarre Incident Involves Naked Man Surfing on Train
An unusual event unfolded recently when a man from Arizona, identified as Daniel Ray Ballance, allegedly broke into a moving Union Pacific locomotive in northeastern Colorado. Witnesses were taken aback as he reportedly climbed aboard and surfed naked on top of the train. Local authorities arrested him on Thursday.
According to the Sedgwick County Sheriff’s Office, Ballance managed to enter the locomotive by shattering a window while the train was in motion. This rather shocking act led to him facing both felony and misdemeanor charges.
A witness reportedly saw him on the roof of the locomotive before officers intervened. Following his arrest, the sheriff’s office made light of the situation, sharing a photo of Ballance with a humorous post on social media regarding the incident.
“For those who witnessed this gentleman surfing naked atop a moving train yesterday, rest assured he has been apprehended on felony and misdemeanor charges,” the department quipped.
Interestingly, while being questioned, Ballance mentioned his fondness for vodka, beer, and banjo playing. The sheriff’s office joked about having to separate him from those interests and train excursions.
Ballance was booked into the Sedgwick County Jail, where he faces various charges, although specific details regarding these charges were not immediately accessible.
As of now, authorities have yet to provide information about any injuries related to the incident or the train’s overall safety.
