Yavapai County prosecutors said suspect James Haynes, of Prescott, was originally charged with attempted murder, arson, violating a court order and aggravated harassment after the incident last year.

Sheriff’s office officials said deputies responded to the scene around 2:45 a.m. on Oct. 13 after receiving a report that Haynes had violated a civil court protective order by crashing his vehicle through two gates and into an unidentified woman’s camper.
Haynes then set the vehicle on fire and crawled under a trailer to access the woman.
Authorities said a propane tank in the camper trailer exploded and the fire began to spread, but the woman was able to escape to another residence.
